Bayern

This weekend Jan and I went to Bayern (Bavaria) to visit our German dad.  We had a great time seeing and doing new things together.

We went to the Chiemsee
and took a boat ride to Herren Island and took a tour of a castle built by the same king that built Neuschwanstein.  The fountains came on ever 30 min.  They were huge and so beautiful!

A picture of the Chiemsee.  Yes, those are the beautiful Alps too!

I put this picture on the blog for my wonderful soccer-loving husband.  We got to see where the Bayern Munich soccer team practices.  Hopefully we will make it to a game sometime.

We also saw the BMW place in Munich where you can custom order your car, pick it up, and drive it out of the store.  This is obviously no cheap deal... the pick up fee alone is 700 Euro!

Hey! I have not been on all the different blogs for a while. But I finally have some time to read and respond. Your blog is turning out to quite a nice photo gallery! Most of your pictures would not look out of place in traveling magazines. Jannis looks like he owns the car.

Is that a thatched roof on the picture under the "A beautiful day" blog?

We hope you guys are well. We think often of you and hope to see you soon.

Hi j,

No it is not a thatched roof on that house. It does look like one though. The swiss use a lot of wood shingles.
We miss you guys too! We are so glad that God is giving you these wonderful blessings of work and a beautiful baby! Take care!
