Life is full of unexpected changes and turns. Some things happen that make us leap for joy and others leave us heartbroken. Last Thursday a colleague of mine from the International School died of cancer. She was a breast cancer patient in remission but found out about the cancer's reappearance just 4 days earlier. The family and friends she leaves behind will miss her dearly."May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Sorry to hear about your friend. These moments always give us pause to reflect on how we experience beauty and pain in life. I hope that her friends and family find comfort during this time.
