Thanksgiving

There was so much going on around Thanksgiving this year that I didn't get a chance to blog about our celebration. Dad and Jon were here on Thanksgiving Day and I did make a big dinner for us but it wasn't traditional Turkey with the fixin's. We had our Thanksgiving celebration with all the traditional foods on Saturday the 28th. It was so tasty and we really enjoyed spending it with some of our American friends here in Switzerland.

We had it over at our friend's house. Gerrie did a gorgeous job decorating.

Our dessert table was so yummy! Gerrie even made maple whipping cream to put on top of the pumpkin pie. It is just heavy whipping cream with a bit of maple syrup to taste.

This is little Ryan who was born just a few days after Thanksgiving last year. Now he's a busy one-year-old on the move. Lina wants to keep up with him all the time.
Yep, that's the Macy's parade in the background. Mike and Gerrie recorded it for our get together.

After eating, a few of us went on a walk. It was colder than I thought so Lina got to wear my gloves. Thought they looked kind of funny on her.

Now we're off this evening to Grossburgwedel. We will be spending a long weekend with Opa and some other family members celebrating Uncle Thomas' and Opa's birthdays!

The gloves made us laugh! So cute. Love that you celebrated T-Day. The desserts look yummy. Hope you have a wonderful time at Opa's and with all your family.

Thanks guys! Yeah we are having a good time here in Großburgwedel. Today we are celebrating birthdays. I do hope Lina takes a nap before all the festivities start though. :)
Blessings to you!
