Christmas Season

Christmastime is full of fun things for young and old.  I so much enjoy introducing the girls to the festivities that surround this time of year.  They are so excited about every detail!  We started off the season by preparing our gift box for Operation Christmas Child.  We packed our box for a girl between the ages of 2 and 4 and it was shipped to another country and given to a child in need.  Lina and Jamie learned a lot as they packed.  At first they wanted to keep everything for themselves and Lina even shed a few tears because she wasn't allowed to.  After talking about it some more her sadness turned to joy and she wanted to keep filling our box.  The above picture is of our finished product.

Cleaning our shoes for Niklaus was also a fun thing to do.  I prepared the cleaning zone with one pair of shoes for each girl but they just kept finding more shoes to clean!  My boots looked so much better after all their hard work.  Of course there was a reward left for them in their own shoes in the morning.  :)

Christmas Day was full of fun too!  My Mom, Dad, brother and sister-in-law came to share in the festivities with us.  We enjoyed coffee next to our pretty tree and the girls were so excited to open their presents.

Thanks to our family near and far for supporting us with your love.  We are very thankful for each one of you.

Merry (late) Christmas and a Happy 2014!
