2011 brought a lot of change for us as a family. Jan started a new job, Jamie was born and we've adapted to life with 4 family members. The picture above shows Jan and Lina cleaning her shoes to put outside her bedroom door for St. Nicholas. Lina is astounding us with her language development. I wake up every morning wondering what funny things she'll surprise me with.
Lina cleaned her shoes so well that St. Nicholas left a yummy treat for her to enjoy. :)
Lauren, Lina, Jamie and I baked Christmas cookies with our neighbors last week. Tabea has 3 boys and Lina had a great time decorating with them.
This week we also said goodbye to the lovely Lauren. She was with us for 3 months and her help was much appreciated. We all enjoyed her company so much and the goodbye was difficult. Thanks again for coming Lauren! We love you and can't wait to see you again!
2012 will also bring about a lot of change for our family. Jan has 5 more days of work until his job ends at the hospital. In February we are moving back to Minnesota. We are excited to be by my family again. Please keep us in your prayers as we wrap up things here in Switzerland and make this transition. Lina plays MN by moving all her toys from her play corner to the white carpet in the living room. There she organizes them in numerous ways and speaks to Oma, Opa, Uncle Jon and Auntie Sunni as if they were right there with her. When we need to clean up we move all the toys back to Switzerland (in the corner).
Blessings to all of you this Christmas season!
