A little more Scotland

I've been thinking about our Scotland trip a lot. It was just such a great time so I had to add some more photos to show you. The top photo is of Culzean castle. We toured the castle and the grounds on our last full day and were blessed with sun the entire day. The castle is perfectly kept and is located right on the sea. It was beautiful.
The above photo was taken at Kilchurn castle. It was a very cool castle because you can go through it as you wish. There was no entry fee, it just stands on Loch Awe adding to the scenery.

We made frequent trips to the town of Dumbarton which wasn't far from where we were staying. Whether it be for groceries, a bite to eat or to visit the sites it was a pretty neat town. We visited the castle there too, although it really wasn't a castle anymore. We took a walk in the sea when the tide was out and got a great view of the castle from there. The "castle" really only consists of the Govenor's house and a place they used to keep the gun powder so there really isn't much to see in the picture.
This is the famous Wallace monument in Stirling. The monument is very stunning and was definitely a highlight of the trip. Seeing the monument, the landscape and hearing the story again made the movie Braveheart come to life.

And lastly a short video... Lina loved the tour of Stirling castle. Her favorite room was the great hall. She found the ramp a great place to practice her walking. She went up and down so many times that eventually people stopped taking pictures of the hall and started taking pictures of the cute little girl that kept going up and down the ramp. :)
